A sensitive renovation of a 1960s post-and-beam home, set within an old-growth forest overlooking Burrard Inlet and downtown Vancouver. Rather than rebuild, the design preserves the existing structure to minimize environmental impact while enhancing performance with energy-efficient systems, new glazing, and sustainable materials.

The architecture maintains the original simplicity while introducing refined interventions, including a defined entry feature wall, reflective water elements, and expanded open-plan interiors. Skylights and integrated lighting transform transitional spaces, while restored beams and new layered elements create a dynamic interplay of light, texture, and shadow. Seamless indoor-outdoor connections extend living spaces into the surrounding landscape.
